Merlin has gone on about the power of Quicksilver's Append To... action and simple text files to keep track of all kinds of data. I decided to drink the Kool-Aid and give it a try for my "on-the-go" contexts. To make it really useful, I set up my Mac to automatically sync my lists to the Notes folder on my iPod every time it gets plugged in.

This has turned out to be pretty powerful stuff - I can now knock out text files for all kinds of purposes in just a few seconds, and take them with me when I go. I wrote up the whole thing in excruciating detail, mostly so I'll remember next time I need it, but if anyone is interested you can get it from:
