Highrise thoughts? Anyone?

I think I like it.

But the emailing-things-into-highrise doesn't work as expected.

I think it could be interesting and useful for me to manage my personal relationships, but my professional ones not-so-much. I'd really like if I could do a ring-back connect thing via phone like GrandCentral lets you do. <3 the GrandCentral.

I'm bumping this. I've been...

I'm bumping this. I've been using only Highrise for the last few weeks, completely ditching all other GTD--and it works great!

Once you get the email forwarding going it's incredible how transparently everything ends up in the right bucket. I use the labels for contexts and organize my projects as 'companies.' So I have a 'company' and tasks associated with it. If I have lots of tasks I just plan them all in a note within each company.

It's obviously not great for those of us who are working in more time-sensitive areas; it's easy for projects to get a little lost. But overall the speed and transparency of the whole thing have completely won me over.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
