syncing mail and there read status
rapdigi | Oct 26 2006
Am I nutts and/or is there no way to be able to sync between two or more macs whether mail has been read or not on either of those macs? Also seeing as this is my first post I might as well start off being annoying, you were going to find out anyway, and ask two questions. Why is Imap better than pop? 1 Comment

Well you've actually just answered your 2nd question with your 1st. 1 of the advantages of IMAP is that it will keep both machines in sync in real time - folders, read status, everything. Another advantage of IMAP is that the messages all stay on the server. This means that if you have your pref's set right in Mail, that both the server AND your machine (or machines in your case) will each have a copy in case of data loss. It also means that you can log into your webmail account from anywhere in the world on any machine and have access to every email that you've every received, filed or sent, attachments and all. » POSTED IN:
