ADD/ADHT/ADT getting tested...
a11en | Apr 13 2006
Hi guys, Quick question for you... I'm thinking about getting tested for ADD etc., and was wondering if there is anything I should know. Particularly in regards to future work employment issues etc. Is there any negatives to getting labelled ADD? I don't want to dig myself into a hole that I might not be able to get out of. I've been functioning fairly well, but I'm pretty sure I know what the outcome of the tests will be. :) I'm all ears! Hey, let's go ride bikes! 10 Comments

GH- Thanks for your input, I greatly appreciate it. It's important to me to figure out as much as I can about this. I personally am unsure about the designation of ADD/ADHD (you should see my GF's eyes roll back into her head), but perhaps that's because I myself am one? :) See, if I think the behaviour is normal, and can be "dealt" with, perhaps I'm only mildly ADD. My work has lately been taking some serious hits due to my lack of attention/distraction, and this has gotten me thinking much more lately about this issue. Worries me a bit, actually, as the work is really in a bad way at the moment. So, in the interest of staying focused, I'll continue on with my work at hand, and check in to the thread here and there as time allows. ;) Greatfully appreciate any comments/thoughts on the ADD/ADHD testing, and various forms of therapies once diagnosed. Cheers! » POSTED IN:
