ADD/ADHT/ADT getting tested...
a11en | Apr 13 2006
Hi guys, Quick question for you... I'm thinking about getting tested for ADD etc., and was wondering if there is anything I should know. Particularly in regards to future work employment issues etc. Is there any negatives to getting labelled ADD? I don't want to dig myself into a hole that I might not be able to get out of. I've been functioning fairly well, but I'm pretty sure I know what the outcome of the tests will be. :) I'm all ears! Hey, let's go ride bikes! 10 Comments

To my knowledge, it is something that ONLY YOU and your doctors will know about. One of my best friends went through 'The Tests' and came out ADD & OCD, which most of us knew to be true. I bought him a copy of GTD and he read it and enjoyed it. I have not been able to sit down with him to delve deeper into it. He had always kept his 'yellow notebook' with him always. We all teased him about it. I am thinking of making him a custom hPDA, but I do not know if he will use it. There is no outward downside to being diagnosed. There may be some medication involved, but mainly knowing for sure has helped my friend out and he knows now how to change his lifestyle to adapt to the ADD. Michael PS: Reading your blog, and I am really enjoying it. I am reading the GTD meets Covey meets Peck post now. » POSTED IN:
