My kGTD setup
Merlin Mann | Dec 7 2005
Related to today's earlier post, a number of people have written over the past few weeks with curiosity about kGTD ("Is it worth buying OmniOutliner Pro?" "Is it worth buying a Mac?" "Will I be able to vanquish all foes?"). While I'm not prepared to do a major sales presentation, I am happy to oblige the folks who wanted to see how I've set mine up. Also gives you a little window into my current contexts (as well as my atrocious personal habits). Screenshot here (best viewed full size): comments and questions will be entertained. 52 Comments

I'm a KGTD user but am still a little unclear on the distinction between the someday-maybe context versus the Someday/Maybe section of the document. In prior GTD systems, I'd always thought of Someday-Maybe's as nascent projects, not as a category for next-actions. I notice Merlin is making widespread use of the s/m context. Does he or anyone working in a similar manner also use the S/M section of the KGTD outline? Does one preclude the other or do you have your nascent projects in the S/M section as well as potential tasks relating to existing projects under the s/m context? » POSTED IN:
