[ via Slashdot ] Damn, this could be pretty big stuff, eh? I'm guessing at least a few of you out there are rabid Blackberry users -- I've never even used one myself, but I have friends who live on theirs. So, I'm curious: How do you feel about the possibility of losing Blackberry service? If it went away today, what would you use instead? Do you have a fallback plan? 24 Comments

I love and use Chatter, but bear in mind, keeping IMAP always on (the only way to have push-like email) will drain your battery fast, and in the case of non-GSM phones, send many incoming calls to voicemail while keeping the data connection open. Also you need to check if the imap protocol is supported by your company. Exchange enables it by default I believe, but it can be disabled. Also, I'm sorry but the Palm OS at present doesn't multi-task perfectly and I've experienced crashes and resets with Chatter in the background.
