I'm one of the evil IT guys and I'm the one that puts the disclaimer on your emails. I work for a bank and the disclaimer it put there per orders of our Compliance Department. It is goes along with the disclaimer you have to accept to log on to one of our computers. This all stemmed from an early hacker case where the defense was "there was nothing telling me I couldn't log onto their network" We now have disclaimers EVERYWHERE, will it actually stop a hacker ...no...but atleast we took away that defense and everyone who logs on agrees to be monitored. My email gripe is people who email a link to a document on their hardrive. Sorry, I can't get to C:\my documents\important work.doc. » POSTED IN:
