Anyone else having problems replying to emails?
Laura M. | Oct 26 2005
I'm so bad replying to emails. They just keep piling. I read them the moment they come, but something keeps me from replying or acting on them. How do you deal with emails? Do having specific blocks of time devoted to email writing works for you? How you balance replying to emails with the other parts of your work? Is anyone using Groupwise for your emails? Any tips for using it? The new version is able to attach labels to the emails and changes the color of the header accordingly. Now I have a very colorful inbox but as full as before. 41 Comments

i'm using mac os x...Submitted by denny on October 26, 2005 - 8:53pm.
i'm using mac os x mail and my strategy relies on keeping my inbox empty. several times a day i check in on the inbox and i process it all... no questions asked. i look at my inbox and i say... "who's your daddy?" it's not even a question... it gets done. i think alot of this stuff is a mind game we play with ourselves. forming habits helps but following the system and making the system the habit is the key for me. back to my inbox, i keep it empty. i delete, flag for "needs action" or "waiting", archive, or i reply. i use smart folders throughout OS X... smart folders ROCK! in mail i have a "needs action" smart folder, "waiting", "today", "this week".... so most email ends up in my archive almost immediately but it has been processed: replied to or flagged. » POSTED IN:
