Following up on the earlier post about becoming a better listener, I get the feeling I'm not the only one with problems remembering peoples' names. So how about a few quick tips via Google for remembering names: From How to Remember Names (wittcom.com). Boy, do I ever need this one:

I've found that, when meeting new people in a group, the easiest way for me to re-remember someone's name is to introduce them to a friend. Say, "Have you met my friend, Ted?" but don't complete the introduction. They will, 80% of the time, say their name to your friend Ted. This is particularly useful if you fancy a young woman, and you brain short-circuited when she said her name. Saved me on many occasions. *note, this doesn't work when you are the only knew person in the group, as everyone else will know everyone else already. In that type of situation, it is fairly simple to ask someone else for a name you've omitted from memory. » POSTED IN:
