New iPhone to-do list?
Beck Henderer-Pena | Jan 28 2008
Hey all, I have an iPhone and am on it much more than I am on my laptop or a computer (I am always in different places and on the move for work). So I have been looking for a very functional to-do list for the iphone. Of all that I have found, I guess I like Vitalist the best, but some of the key features (to me) on the iphone version are limited (filters especially). So I have been spending some time working on a new to-do list that a) is a bit of a different approach than some of these others, using some GTD techniques, but also getting rid of some that seem impractical to me and tend to slow me down and b) that is fully functional on the iphone as opposed to having the iphone version being a "lite" version. I have a developer who is just starting to work on this with me, and I am funding it myself. My question is this: Am I crazy? Should I do this? Am I naive in thinking that I can come up with a easier, more streamlined and practical organizational to-do system than someone who has been thinking about it for 20 years? I just keep coming up against a) wanting something to work in specific ways that none of these current apps do and b) that some of these apps just don't seem realistic and seem too cumbersome - mostly through the amount of steps you need to go through in the interface... not some much in the concept. But on the other hand, if it's easy to use and works well, people might like it, right? And I know I would use it if nothing else... but not sure if that is worth the money. Thoughts? Thanks! Have you looked at Remember the Milk, Toodledo? And I see that Nozbe has a new iPhone tool as well. » POSTED IN:
