Firstly, I hope I've posted this in the right area - apologies if not. I'm looking for a Mac utility that will allow me to easily store a selection of often used chunks of text (sometimes for us in e-mails, sometimes in documents) that I can quickly find and paste when needed. You have a number of options on this one, but I'll highlight two that I like. TextExpander (previously here) lets you define shortcuts for snippets of text that "explode" when you type a few letters. (Video demoing TE) Quicksilver (previously here) lets you define items on a "Shelf" that can be pasted into place using the app's super-fast keyboard commands. For what you're describing, I'd give TextExpander a spin. » POSTED IN:
