lo-fi - keeping it tidy - thoughts ?

I'm implementing GTD using mainly lo-tech, ie, all my Next Actions, Projects etc are listed on 5x3 index cards (stapled together by category - ie, all NA@home cards together etc). I just cross out items when done but the cards tend to look a bit messy after a few weeks (my dodgy handwriting doesn't help !), to the point where it gets tricky to scan through them efficiently. I did think about transferring everything onto Remember The Milk then I could just print out legible lists every now & again (and keep it lo-tech by crossing out / writing on them) but I think they'd only print out on A4, I'd rather have them on A5 at the very most. Any thoughts re keeping things a bit more user friendly ? 4 Comments

Depends on how geeky you want to get...Submitted by augmentedfourth on December 14, 2007 - 10:07am.
There's a great free online GTD service called simpleGTD that has a handy "printable lists" page available. I've written a shell script on my Linux machine to pull down that "printable" page, split up the contexts, and print each context list onto a separate 3x5 index card. Then I use my horrible handwriting through the day to check off items and add new things, and each morning during my daily review I update the lists online and use my script to print out new cards. » POSTED IN:
