Capturing thoughts
direwolf | Nov 9 2007
Quite often, I find myself doing something when other thoughts pop up that really need capturing. Stopping whatever I'm doing to write this down / record it / whatever feels like I'm not being fully efficient doing what I was supposed to be doing in the first place. My mind tends to skip about quite a lot. Sometimes it simply isn't practical to stop what I'm doing to capture (or even carry capture tools), which leads to, 'will I remember this ?' anxiety. Anyone been through similar & found a method that helps ? 4 Comments

Thanks for the comments guys. Thinking about it more, I know it's a case of training myself to make sure that I have capture tools available. Re-reading my original post it sounds like an excuse to myself not to capture properly. Also, it must be far better to interrupt myself once to capture something rather than have it keep niggling round my head every few minutes/hours. I fell off the GTD wagon a few months back and am in the process of getting back on - which is remarkably straightforward :o) » POSTED IN:
