"Task" instead of "Project"
Bert Plat | Oct 24 2007
Hi all, A collegue and myself are currently giving a course in GTD. No, we're not black belt, but being green belt already puts us way in front of our collegues. Moreover, the best way to learn is by trying to teach :-) One thing we're noticing is that there's a bit of a blockage against creating a "project". In the ICT world we're in, a project is something huge, over budget and out of time, and you'd need all kinds of project management methods to avoid it getting it completely out of hand. So, creating a "project" just to buy a new hard disk seems to be somewhat overboard. One of our students suggested to use the dutch word Taak, or Task, rather than Project. A task is something multi-step, but not as big as a Project. What do you think? 2 Comments

...it's about principles. If you can get a good system up and running, you can call it whatever you want! » POSTED IN:
