Ok, so I just started using Superduper. What's the best setting for back up? Should I copy each file, that's what I did, or make a Disk Image? Is one option better than the other? 1 Comment

I think writing a complete clone is the best way. A clone is an exact, bootable copy of your entire computer. Once you make the initial clone with SuperDuper, every other sync only takes a fraction of the time. This is because SD only syncs up the files that have changed. The other reason cloning is the best is that you don't have to think about which files are important, which have changed, etc. SD does that for you. Further, if your main Mac gets mucked up, you can just copy over this exact clone copy. I set SuperDuper to copy over to another drive at 4:30am every morning. I rarely have to think about it. » POSTED IN:
