Not sure... but want to get better
Derek Schauland | Oct 2 2007
I have read the book... and am still not sure it is the right system for me. However I am not sure it isnt... I am having trouble with the todo list idea. The problem is surely too many buckets for information, which have stemmed lately from my push to write everything down that I might need to remember. I put recurring work reminders in Outlook (for the pop up nag) Use MS One Note for most notes and other items. Have an account at remember the milk for tasks and Gcal syncing with my treo 700p OTA (using http://www.goosync.com). I am not sure how to make the system work for me... One thought is to use One Note to keep information, when the Information needs to travel put it in RTM with a reminder sent to the treo (until they sync, which I believe is in the works). Really though I want to find a system that works for me and the selection process is anything but productive. Does anyone have any thoughts? 5 Comments

I'm blessed to have a TabletPC provided to me by my employer so my notes are with me at all times. I use Outlook for all my project management and since I almost always have the Tablet with me I can easily update my tasks. For those times I don't have the Tablet and something pops into my head, I'll email my work address with my Blackberry, which unfortunately am not allowed to sync with the Tablet. Its not a perfect system but it works for me. For more info on using Outlook to manage projects a la GTD, see Michael Linebarger's book Total Workday Control. » POSTED IN:
