To Do List option for the iPhone
Matthew DeForrest | Sep 30 2007
One of the complaints about the iPhone is that there is no way to create a to do list. While I don't have a perfect solution, I do have an idea that can get you started. Create a password protected blog and enable comments. Each blog entry is a "To Do" item and you can keep track of how you are doing on the project with the comments section. Here's the how-to using iWeb: 1) Create a New Page using the pull down menu or the handy + button at the bottom. From the template of your choice, select the blog. 2) Open the Inspector (bottom right of the page). Choose "Password" under the "Site Inspector" tab (with the picture of the .mac globe). Click the box to enable password protection. Next, select the "Blog and Podcast Inspector" (the one with RSS written on it) and check the "Allow Comments" box. 3) Create a separate entry for each project you want to include for your list. These can be short but it is a good way of making sure that you have that shopping list when you are trying to remember if you need toilet paper. Now, as I said, this isn't a perfect solution. You will need to be connected to the web to access your list and add updates. My grocery store, for example, does not have good reception. However, once you have the page up on Safari, it will stay there in the cache. I hope this helps. 4 Comments
