”What’s 43 Folders?”
43Folders.com is Merlin Mann’s website about finding the time and attention to do your best creative work.
Hi again.
Merlin Mann | Sep 21 2007
This afternoon we're (softly, gently) rolling out a new version of 43Folders.com. Here's some of the new stuff that's happening. Without going into extreme amounts of nerd detail, 43 Folders now runs on a content management system called Drupal that lets us do a bunch of neat stuff I've been wanting to do for a while now... The Good
OK, that's most of the big stuff. I'll add more as it occurs to me. The Bad
The AwesomeI'll close by saying a few thank you's.
Anyhow. Thanks, have fun, and feel free to use your newfound membership privileges to tell me what you think. 62 Comments

New Web Design, for Both of Us!Submitted by ProductivityGro... on September 24, 2007 - 2:53am.
Hi Merlin, First, a thank you. Even though I am a salesperson not a knowledge worker, your work has changed how I approach time, priorities, and life. Second, I've written a website. It's to help companies get more appointments, more people in the door, and more sales!(sm) Tonight I completed the last of the coding and I've launched. My unique selling proposition is to be the salesperson who is organized enough to take action... not the young fellow with a pair the size of watermelons who knocks on your door at 9:23 PM when you’re putting your kids to bed. Nor the perfect secretarial type who has all his I’s dotted and T’s crossed, but is afraid to speak up or go for what he really wants. More like a geek version of the former: someone with the courage to make things happen, but the organization habits to influence what comes next and stay on top of things. You're one of my mentors. Third, I want to compliment this amazing site design. Visually, especially your header graphic and choice of easy to read font, impresses me. The functionality made signing up a breeze, your information even easier to find, and I can see your site is now feature rich The purpose behind your site jumps out instantly. I believe you will help many people with it. I hope I can do the same. Fourth (and last, promise), I wrote a post inspired by your Hipster PDA idea and I hope you'll read it. What I did was take it a step further and implement a desktop docking station. Matt at Matt's Idea blog, a fan of yours, liked it. It's working well for me. I started reading you because of the Hipster and thought I would stop there. Instead, I used the teachings you introduced me to as the organizing principle of my life. If you'll take the time to read my post, it's here: Inboxes at Zero (Isn't THAT a Relief!) — Christoph Dollis » POSTED IN:
