Thoughts on MonkeyGTD or d3?
Terrence Randell | Aug 24 2006
Does anyone have thoughts or experiences to offer on MonkeyGTD? I'm evaluating the tool landscape as part of my system re-design and it looks interesting as far as the concept goes. I'm not sold on the implementation. At least not yet. The Dashboard view seems very handy for a birds eye view. The flexibility and ease of movement in TiddlyWiki is appealing. Data entry is likely to be slow with the "click new"->"type stuff"->"click save"->"repeat" sequence. That is a killer for me. I need fast creation of new things. I'd like to get some feedback from the "like its" and "don't like its" to help round out my analysis. Thanks in advance. 3 Comments

Tried them both but the problem I had was that it wasn't robust enough. I would get to so many actions and/or projects and then for some reason it wouldn't save anymore. I don't know if this was down to the way I entered text or what but I just couldn't trust it. I thought it might be the peculiar security arrangements at my workplace so tried tiddlyspot as well. This did the same after a while. Shame as I really like the whole concept; it was working well for me until the can't save thing. I'm back to my outlook task list but I've tinkered to get a context view and a projects view which works for me, plus I can sync this to my WM5 PDA (well for contexts at least) » POSTED IN:
