Ordered a Nokia 770 tablet

Watch this space I guess for a review once it comes. I'm really interested in this device because one of the reasons I refuse to use Tracks or Backpack as the centerpiece of my GTD is because it isn't usable on a mobile browser. As the 770 has Opera and should be able to handle Ajaxy-fancy-pants bits, that problem may go away. I just refuse to carry a laptop everywhere to solve this problem. Also, it will be able to use my mobile phone's internet connection to use the big browser/IM client/email so that I am not constantly fondling my N90 like some sort of perv. The 770 isn't a PDA. Its a tiny X11/Linux device with WiFi and Bluetooth. I'm eager to see if it will fill any gaps for me. 6 Comments

Gets in tomorrow. I'm on a grandfathered data plan. 19 USD for unlimited access with a routable IP address. EDGE. Which is MORE than sufficient for email, ssh and browsing, I can even stream 3gp video and audio on that. My handset does UMTS but on 2100MHz, which we don't use in the US. Sigh.
