Google Calendar: Slick, but does it sync?
macfixer | Apr 13 2006
Okay, I'm looking around and trying to figure out if I can get Google Calendar to sync with anything on my Mac. I see that I can import stuff, but that's kind of a bear. I also see that I can share my Google Calendar stuff, but that's not really letting me sync if it's read-only. Anyone  //k 7 Comments

Google Calendar is a total swing-and-a-miss. I don't know why they even bothered putting it out there as-is. Right now it is just a stupid web calendar like any other. Even free software like phpicalendar is better for sharing/distributing calendars. (see a sample of phpicalendar here which is only for scooter-related events in New England at the moment ;) but requires you to use something like Sunbird or iCal to manage webcal events -- phpicalendar only lets you VIEW and DISTRIBUTE calendars via webcal or RSS. » POSTED IN:
