How are you using your Moleskine?
jcisco | Sep 27 2006
I was inspired by patrickrhone's suggestions on using a moleskine for a capturing device. I bought one, figuring I would use it - but at the same time I discovered the essence of HipsterPDA (I'm very, very new to GTD, have not even finished the book yet). So I have my Moleskine, with some index cards in the back. Yet I find I am only using the index cards, capturing what needs to be captured, and tossing them in my physical inbox. So what are you using your Moleskine's for? Todo lists? Just need some input and advice. Thanks! 29 Comments

For learning...Submitted by jasminerain on May 18, 2007 - 8:45pm.
I use a large ruled journal to store all of my non-class notes. I'm reading up on a few things that I'm interested in (photography, learning Ruby, AI algorithms), so I take notes in the moleskine. It's not too well organized; if I start working on Ruby and the last thing I wrote was another topic, I just continue a line below it, with a new heading. Although I don't use a moleskine for GTD or any kind of organization, I find this method very useful for me. I think it's because writing in it is so satisfying that I find myself wanting to spend as much time as I can learning about these subjects (rather than reading feeds, playing games, etc). Being productive then makes me in the mood for more productivity, and I can work up the energy to work on bigger projects (like classwork). » POSTED IN:
