How are you using your Moleskine?
jcisco | Sep 27 2006
I was inspired by patrickrhone's suggestions on using a moleskine for a capturing device. I bought one, figuring I would use it - but at the same time I discovered the essence of HipsterPDA (I'm very, very new to GTD, have not even finished the book yet). So I have my Moleskine, with some index cards in the back. Yet I find I am only using the index cards, capturing what needs to be captured, and tossing them in my physical inbox. So what are you using your Moleskine's for? Todo lists? Just need some input and advice. Thanks! 29 Comments

I've given up on carrying a pocket Moleskine, and my Cahiers don't have anything to really recommend them: no rubber band to hold them closed, no ribbon marker, and a "pocket" that rips out? No thanks. I still have a large grid Moleskine that sometimes accompanies me out and about. I've converted to index cards for my organization stuff. The Moleskine is really just a journal now. And I don't think I'll be buying another one in the future. As a journal, it's overpriced and I can get better paper for less money. I still get pangs, however. And when I walk in a stationery store, I can't help but walk over and fondle the merchandise. I guess that after five-ish years of Moleskine love, I've realized that I was more infatuated with the idea than the actual product. » POSTED IN:
