”What’s 43 Folders?”
43Folders.com is Merlin Mann’s website about finding the time and attention to do your best creative work.

Hello from Italy

Hello everybody from a professional procrastinator, who?s trying to be productive without spending too much time on the system and, on top of that, with a Latin approach.

Because an empty desk here in Italy equals nothing to do more than productive.

Hack #89: have a few meaningless-for-display-only folders scattered around and keep working on a single item at a time from your to-do list.

I?m also dangerously attracted to productivity pr0n, but it?s just a hobby
My main philosophy is more in the realm of ?the easiest the best?, ?if it works use it?, ?set deadlines?, ?DO! it for God?s sake?.

Thank you for the tons of useful tips and thoughts available around here.

Thank you, :) of all...

Thank you, :)

of all things, I don?t drink coffee (yes, I?m a real Italian),
but I know you can get more done at the coffee machine than at ?official? meetings.

I?m pretty happy about my organizational skills, if only I wasn?t so good in procrastination.
Right now I?m having great results with ?at least start doing it, then you can stop if you want?. That works pretty well for almost everything except phone calls.
I often do laundry, wash dishes, dust, vacuum, in the time I gather energies to dial some numbers. There are days that my house is shining and you can tell I?m putting off some really important calls.

Talking about pr0n I guess we?ve a better situation in the high quality paper section (there are some amazing hand made things I can?t even get close to).

I think you saw Moleskines here first because they are manufactured by an Italian Company. They bought the Name a few years ago and started reviving it.

But if we talk about office organization stuff, the Nirvana is in the USA.

Oh, by the way we do NOT have index cards here. My hipsterPDA supply is provided by American friends.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
