Which file?

Hello 43Folders community and Merlin. I have been reading, and reaping from GTD for the past 4 months and can safely say I am in it for keeps, and what fun it is! I now look forward to my bus journey home through South London and the nightly review, moving my little post-its from one page to another. Definately low-tech but easy-going for this wanabee geek. Anyway, I have just started on the filing system and am a bit stuck. A scenario: Lucky me I have a few software dev projects on the go and manage the finance as well as the dev apes. I have an alphebetical filing system so where does the invoice go? I for invoice; a finance sub-folder within the project folder? Or maybe in the developer's agency folder? Any suggestions? Where would I look for it looking again? Well that is a good question. In theory, I file it under I for invoice as I have an A-Z filing system. But surely I should keep all project materials together? The colour coding thing that chrome47 has got going on is a bit too complicated for me I think, and think I sit on Berko and the Big Man's side of the fence. Remember - kiss (without meaning any offence of course)! Any more examples/suggestions anyone? What is the perfect filing system? R » POSTED IN:
