Using Both Computer and Lo-Fi
jwoodell | Feb 10 2007
Hi all, I'm looking for ideas about using both print and digital tools in planning/organizing. Lately I've been managing my daily to-do list on paper but keeping all my long-term to-do's, tagged by project, on Remember the Milk. I have to use an electronic calendar because we share it at work, but I miss my paper calendar. Are there realistic and efficient ways to use both? Any ideas, or pointers to places where people have written about this, would be greatly appreciated! -Jim 3 Comments

Jim, I always like to think of my calendars and to-do list on the computer as the "master" list, and use a lot of paper as a work copy. Print it out, jot it down on index cards, scribble in a notebook, etc, but reconcile it with your master system however often makes sense. That way you're getting the best of both: long-term storage, indexing, and historical data on your comptuer, and flexibility and ease of use from paper. » POSTED IN:
