Using Both Computer and Lo-Fi

Hi all, I'm looking for ideas about using both print and digital tools in planning/organizing. Lately I've been managing my daily to-do list on paper but keeping all my long-term to-do's, tagged by project, on Remember the Milk. I have to use an electronic calendar because we share it at work, but I miss my paper calendar. Are there realistic and efficient ways to use both? Any ideas, or pointers to places where people have written about this, would be greatly appreciated! -Jim 3 Comments

Jim, I've struggled with this problem...Submitted by Stew on February 12, 2007 - 7:22am.
Jim, I've found that I do my best planning and day-to-day stuff on paper. I keep a lot of reference material organized digitally. I like the way you've put the long term stuff you don't need to constantly see on Remember the Milk, so long as it's part of your weekly review. For me paper is for planning and to-dos, digital is largely for reference. I don't really care that I have reference material right at my fingertips, so long as I can make a note to myself where to find info when I need it. YMMV. I'd recommend reading Emory's GTD Whitepaper for some ideas. » POSTED IN:
