Assignment Planner, anyone?
noodle | Dec 19 2006
I'm interested if anyone has used Assignment Planner as a GTD app? I've given it a cursory whirl after hearing that the program plays well with GTD. It does okay, but it seems like some hacking is necessary. I contacted the developer, suggesting s/he create a GTD app from the AP code. Developer's not interested in creating and then maintaining yet another application, but is interested to know what modifications s/he can make to AP so it's more GTD-friendly. For those of you hacking Assignment Planner (or interested in doing so), any suggestions? 1 Comment

I've looked at Assignment Planner...Submitted by solidsnot on December 20, 2006 - 8:53am.
I've looked at Assignment Planner but found that such a specific app is too much for me when I can put due dates on a calendar and then make each assignment a sub-project within the class's project. For me using an app like this distributes my tasks and thoughts too much and I'm left checking 10 apps/notebooks/calendars when I could be checking 2. As of now those are my hPDA and TextMate's wonderful GTDAlt bundle. I'm beginning to see the benefits of text files' simplicity. » POSTED IN:
