Excel for next actions?
Laura M. | Nov 22 2005
Hi everybody! Well, being as low-tech as I am, I have an Excel question for you. ;) My HipsterPDA is no longer enough to carry on all my next actions, follow up, etc. lists. Do you think it would be helpful to have them on an excel file and just filter/sort them? Or do you think there's something better? Or if you have tips to improve my HipsterPDA use, please pass them on! Laura 9 Comments

EXcel sounds like a good idea; whack in a projects column and a contexts column, and you can sort things into contexts lists and projects lists. Neat. But... is the hipster too big because you've got too much on? I'm currently printing everything I've got to do out onto a single bit of A4 divided into four columns -- roughly the area of eight 3x5 index cards worth. If the content spills onto a second page, I'm taking that as a warning sign that I've taken too much on. This is the problem of a system which scales to hold endless data; you can queue up endless work in it. ;) » POSTED IN:
