3x5 printers + cost of cartridge?
Momo | May 23 2006
I'd like to get one of those cheap photo printers for my D*I*Y hpda. But I'm worried that the cartridges would be pretty expensive and not worth it. Can anyone recommend a good printer for 3x5's whose cartridges aren't super expensive? thanks! Momo 12 Comments

I'm guessing that the most economical color printer for the job would be an inkjet printer. Any models you'd suggest for 3x5 cards? Inkjet printers are cheaper initially, but more expensive in the long run. On the other hand, laser printers are more expensive when you buy the machine, and the toner cartridge is more expensive than inkjet cartridges, but laser is cheaper per page than inkjet. Plus the quality of laser is better, and it's a lot harder to mess it up by spilling liquid on it. A color laser that can print fine on uncoated stock would be ideal. Uncoated paper because you want to be able to write on it. » POSTED IN:
