3x5 printers + cost of cartridge?

I'd like to get one of those cheap photo printers for my D*I*Y hpda. But I'm worried that the cartridges would be pretty expensive and not worth it. Can anyone recommend a good printer for 3x5's whose cartridges aren't super expensive? thanks! Momo 12 Comments

Why not use a black and white laser printer? It may not print to within 1/8" of the edge, perhaps a quarter-inch, but it'd still get the job done if you feed the cards through the manual feed. You can still print out nearly everything else you'd want to print for "normal" use. (Except for color proofs or something... but in that case you'd be using a color laser or high-end inkjet.) » POSTED IN:
