Hipster Heaven with Lamy
R. Emory Lundberg | Mar 20 2006
I picked up some new instruments today. I had just left an eye appointment and my office supply shop is RIGHT THERE so I had to go in and take a look. I have been wanting a real live grown-up mechanical pencil (my Rotring had just exploded into 8 different pieces) again and had to see what they had. So I got a pen too. I tried several -- the Pico is a great Anti-Spacepen. I think it feels a lot better in my hand than the FSP. The Scribble is just a very nice mechanical pencil that isn't /too nice/. I found out you can easily spend hundreds on mechanical pencils if you want to. The Scribble has a nice design, and was a great fit for my small girlish hands. As you can see I like matte black. The pico is a bit bigger than the FSP, but doesn't have a cap that can fall off or get lost. 5 Comments

Lamy makes good pens!Submitted by ozhuner on May 14, 2006 - 7:43pm.
The Lamy Pico is a good pen. It feels and writes smooth and the extension mechanism is not hokey. But, I wanted to use it with my Moleskine pocket book. Thing is, it doesnt sit in the pocketbook cause it doesnt have a clip and, hey, its a fat pen. So, I returned it for a Lamy Spirit http://www.hotpens.com/spirit.html . The Spirit is not a pen I would have ever looked at. But, it works really well, fitting inside the pocketbook... so, its more like carrying one thing, instead of two. » POSTED IN:
