Modo & Modo, manufacturer of Moleskine notebooks, has put themselves up for sale, getting help from accounting giant KPMG. I'm a heavy user of Moleskines; hope this won't affect their quality. Jeff 32 Comments

In the US 99% of the populations pronounces it saw-na, but the correct Finnish pronunciation is sow-na (sow as in female pig, not sow in sowing seeds). If I used the Finnish way of saying it I would be looked at like a lunatic. I was watching an American home renovation show a few years ago where they were installing a home sow-na. All through the show, sow-na this, sow-na that. And yes, they did sound like idiots. But now I know they were actually correct!
