paper weight?
Carla Hufstedler | Apr 5 2006
My only real problem with my Moleskine is that certain pens will show through--not technically bleed through, but definitely show. My experience has been that Sharpies will actually bleed through to the opposite side. So my question is this: what weight grade does paper have to be in order for this problem to be solved? 20 Comments

On a whim, I picked up a Staedtler Triplus Fineliner a few months ago, and it's actually replaced the Zebra for most of my Moleskine writing. It flows really smoothly (just as nicely as the Zebra, I think), but is also *very* precise. It has a slightly triangular barrel, which takes some getting used to, but it's a super pen. Highly recommended. I have to admit - I had a bit of shopping attack the other day. Not only did I buy the Zebra Sarasas, but I also bought these very same Staedtler Triplus Fineliner (multi-colours) and a pack of Pilot Hi-tecpoint V7 Grip pens. I find that I love the colours of the Staedtler's but that I tend to use them more for short writing (e.g., notes in margins, editing, etc.) because they're not as smooth as the Sarasas or Pilot pens. And for the record, I also have older Staedtler Silver Ball 404 0.3mm (multi-colours). I like the tri-line better - the silver balls get kind of squeaky when you don't use them enough. They've never recovered. » POSTED IN:
