paper weight?
Carla Hufstedler | Apr 5 2006
My only real problem with my Moleskine is that certain pens will show through--not technically bleed through, but definitely show. My experience has been that Sharpies will actually bleed through to the opposite side. So my question is this: what weight grade does paper have to be in order for this problem to be solved? 20 Comments

Different inks will have different characteristics, different papers will be made from different materials in different sizes and proportions and be treated differently... The only way to tell for sure if a given pen/ink/paper combination will work for you is to try it. You can probably get paper samples at office supply or copy places, or perhaps from the manufacturers. I'm a fountain pen collector and user (flexible fine points preferred), so I've seen various bleeding and feathering problems that vary based on the pen, keeping the ink and paper constant. For Noodler's users: Does it really come out of a pen easily when flushed? I've been using Waterman Florida Blue for years, and I'm tempted to try one or another shade of Noodler's. » POSTED IN:
