I've wanted one of these super hutches for years http://www.ultoffice.com/catalog/1974 Does anyone have one? If so, or if not, what do you think of them? I keep thinking they would keep everything at my fingertips--while also getting things off the desk surface. Stapler, tape, pencil cup, timer, just about everything I clutter up my desk with. On the other hand it might just mean more surfaces that would get dusty and need cleaning off and things would get put in all those cubbyholes and I'd never think about them again and they'd just put down roots in those dark little holes. Just wondering if anyone has one of these and if they're worth the steep price. Thanks 4 Comments

For people who are good...Submitted by pooks on April 2, 2006 - 2:29pm.
For people who are good at implementing the principles of GTD, I think it could be great. I think I'd have to spend a lot of time considering what I'd put in the various slots, hoping to get a configuration that really worked for me. For example, it looks like there are compartments that would act as built-in inbaskets. What else would I put in the cubbies? Not sure. I guess that's what it comes down to -- do you really have things that need to be kept in cubbies (rather than drawers) and will you do it? Also, some people work better with everything in view -- so cubbies like these would be helpful. Others feel overwhelmed and need everything stowed away in files and drawers, thus these probably would annoy them. » POSTED IN:
