Brainstorming tips?
Jamie Phelps | May 15 2006
Hi, all, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with brainstorming. I am trying to come up with a name for my fledgling design business. I have one that I can use, but I'm not terribly excited about it. I would like something short, two words or so, 25-30 characters max. So, how do you creative folks go about brainstorming something like this? I'm not asking you to name my company, just get me started generating some possibilities. If you do name it, though, it would make a pretty nice story. 10 Comments

Epiphany Media. I think of church. Okay, brutally honest: I think it sounds like a firm that is trying to connect two diametric ideals, and compromising them in the process. Epiphany = spiritual, traditional, holy; Media = material, contemporary, real. To my ears, "media" compromises "epiphany" by making it "secular"; and "epiphany" compromises "media" by making it "old-fashioned." On the other hand, epiphany is a striking and mellifluous word. Maybe the hesitation I describe above would be lessened if the two words weren't juxtaposed so directly - could you be a media firm named Epiphany instead of a firm named Epiphany Media? This is totally one guy's opinion, so feel free to ignore... » POSTED IN:
