What are some of the more absurd things you've attempted to do to get your act together before you discovered GTD? I bought a book that had this "simple" filing system -- it was bizarre. You tore out all articles to file, and the filing system was alphabetical -- sort of. You had to have an index for each letter -- A, B, etc., Z -- at the front of each file. And every time you added an article (say, Gardening, would be "G") and you'd go to the next blank numbered line on the index, write the title of the article, and say it was G14, stick the article in a folder "G14", etc., etc. I spent days filling files. And those files sat there taking up space for years because I was always afraid to go digging through them! Next? 2 Comments

I basically stored everything in mental RAM. I had Palm devices before that I sort of carried around for calendar and address book and never used for anything else. » POSTED IN:
