Will Apple replace my broken power adapter?
Jamie Phelps | Mar 24 2006
Well, technically it's not "broken." The other day, my white brick power adapter for my Powerbook had one of the clips break off. The other is on the verge of the same. Will Apple replace it? The technical functionality is still fine, but I have lost functionality that was there before. I don't know if they will buy that. Will they simply say it's a result of "abuse" even though I have used it in a reasonable way? I ask this question here first because perhaps you guys have had the same problem or something. My Powerbook is still under warranty, but I'm past the 90-day tech support window and without Applecare, they make you pay for a support call if it's not a warranty issue. I do plan to buy the Applecare before my year is up, but just don't have the funds right now. Thanks in advance. 1 Comment

UPDATE: I went to the Southlake Town Square Apple Store opening and took the power adapter to a Genius. They replaced it on the spot. Just thought I would post an update in case anyone else is looking for the answer. » POSTED IN:
