Mac Security Question

Not fun "grabass" but I need a quick answer and don't know where else to ask.... I'm sending my PowerBook back to Mac and it will probably end up with a new hard drive. I've backed up, etc., etc. But I just remembered what I almost forgot -- I do shop online. I don't recall whether my credit card numbers or anything like that are stored on the Mac. Where do I look to see, so I can remove them? 17 Comments

I've seen some horror stories but honestly I've been using Tiger and FileVault since before 10.4 was on the shelves, and I've never had it once hiccup and trash my data. And Spotlight has always worked too. Though I don't use it that often since my reference material is all in DEVONthink and I do most of my searches in there! It is possible I wouldn't notice if it was borked. » POSTED IN:
