Tracks::GTD who's using it?
wwalker | Jan 24 2006
I came to read this forum to get ideas before starting a Ruby on Rails (a web development system) project to do 43 folders. I found in nearly the last post I read a reference to Tracks::GTD (http://www.rousette.org.uk/projects/). Being a Ruby on Rails app, you can just install Ruby, then Rails on your computer (Windows, Linux, OSX...) and in a few minutes have Tracks running. It looks good to me so far. Who else is using it? any comments or pointers? Wayne 46 Comments

I REALLY would like to use it...but setting it up is not for the Linux noob (like me). I emailed the dev and they got back very quickly and nice and it helped that one problem that I had. But it ships with a default webserver setup (that is not Apache) and I (cause I don't know...that is the noob part) don't know how to try to reconfigure it to use Apache. It uses WEBrick (which I have never heard of) as the default webserver to run on. I am not sure my Rails is configured correctly, nor Ruby for that manner. I followed a guide that I found and I thought that it was installed. But now I am not so sure. So, if I cannot have it running by the end of the week (2/17) I am going to abort the attempt and move on to something else. Michael » POSTED IN:
