Dissatisfaction with OmniFocus?
mcogilvie | Aug 9 2007
I got back this week from three weeks in Europe away from my computer, and was eager to see how OmniFocus looked after three weeks using a minimal pen & paper gtd implementation. I was surprised to find out that I was not eager to go back to it. It seems overly complicated, and very databasey. Next action insertion in context view is buggy, so it is impossible to use in the simplest, most minimal gtd approach. I realize this is an alpha product, but it seems so clumsy compared to the excellent OmniOutliner and OmniGraffle. Are other people loving it? 4 Comments

People want complete integration for managing their life. O.F. is caught in the place of wanting to fill some of that need but will fall short of what some users want while offering more than some others want. BTW: The name is OmniFocus, not OmniGTD. That said, I suspect you'll be able to use a narrow set of features that allow you to faithfully implement GTD. » POSTED IN:
