blogging software recommendation?
duus | Jul 6 2007
hey, I'm looking for blogging software. any suggestions? these are my specs: 1) mac-user. i use TextMate & Quicksilver & the command line and wouldn't mind it being compatible/take advantage of both/all. 2) would rather "compile" the blog locally and upload it (via rsync) than install stuff on my webhost (b/c i've never done that before and it seems like a headache. is this too much of a constraint?) thx. p.s. i used to use iBlog. never again! 6 Comments

I've used both Movable Type and WordPress pretty extensively, and while you couldn't go wrong with either one, I highly recommend WordPress for it's ease of use and flexibility. And like Berko said, you can use a blogging client like Mars Edit to manage it locally. If you really didn't want to install software on a server, doesn't the iWeb + .Mac combo generate blogs? » POSTED IN:
