blogging software recommendation?

hey, I'm looking for blogging software. any suggestions? these are my specs: 1) mac-user. i use TextMate & Quicksilver & the command line and wouldn't mind it being compatible/take advantage of both/all. 2) would rather "compile" the blog locally and upload it (via rsync) than install stuff on my webhost (b/c i've never done that before and it seems like a headache. is this too much of a constraint?) thx. p.s. i used to use iBlog. never again! 6 Comments

You might like Lame Blog. I haven't used it, so I can't say how it is. I don't like the compile-and-upload model because you have to rely on third party providers for comments and so forth. If you relax the second restriction, but still want to blog with a text editor and plain text, you might like PyBlosxom or another Blosxom derivative. » POSTED IN:
