OmniFocus v. iGTD
EHD | Jun 26 2007
Just curious if Mac users see these two apps (OmniFocus is still in beta) as the main competition in OS X. It seems from this forum and others that Mac users spend most time talking about these than other apps (Actiontastic, Thinking Rock, etc). Would anyone care to predict the outcome of a "race" between the two apps? Can OmniFocus keep up if iGTD? Perhaps OmniFocus will arrive too late given iGTD's popularity and price. Or is it comparing apples and oranges? 14 Comments

I had a REALLY bad experience with iGTD. I had a .Mac sync error that wiped out everything on all my computers and everything I attempted to add in the future. I'm also one of the folks putting the screws to OmniFocus alpha (or is it beta now?). I have had much better expericnce with OF that I had with Actiontastic or any other software tools. For me, the best part of the experience is the tie in with iCal, Address Book, and Mail. Since I am also an iPhone user, the web interface and sync makes ubiquitous capture way easy. I'm completely excited about where the software heads in future versions, because it's only going to get better. » POSTED IN:
