Mac Mail Question
pooks | Apr 26 2006
Okay, I don't even know what to call the email that comes on the Mac when it's shipped. It just says "Mail." Anyway, that's what I'm using. And I finally took the time to set up different folders so that different kinds of mail go into them, and that is really great. My problem is, I have more than one account/email address. I am subscribed to a couple of email lists with an email address I created just for that purpose, so the list mail won't be cluttering up my mailbox and overwhelming the mail I need to see promptly when it shows up. I can only reply to those emails from a specific email address. The problem is, for some reason when I hit reply, Mail is automatically opening from the wrong account. I repeatedly hit send only to have stuff bounce back at me. How do I change it so it knows which account to send from? I'm IN the right folder when I hit reply, if that makes sense, but sending from the wrong account address. Thanks! 16 Comments

Apple Mail. I'll try...Submitted by pooks on April 26, 2006 - 9:03am.
Apple Mail. I'll try to remember that. Problem is, some things are just automatic and I have trouble retraining myself. Like the dropdown menu where I can change the email address I'm sending from. I know it's there, but I just keep forgetting I need to change it. I was hoping there was a way to make that mailbox belong to the correct account so it sent from there automatically. » POSTED IN:
