Flummoxed by .Mail rules

For the first time, I've been really ramping up my use of .Mail rules to filter random announcements I get for things. I'm finding, however, that some messages simply don't filter no matter what I do to try and fix the rule. With these messages, I"ve tried using the very specific subject line in the message, the recipient list, the sender, etc.

There is nothing obvious to me in the long headers, but do some senders put a stamp or something on their messages that make them unfilterable?

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks

Drag your non-working rule to...

Drag your non-working rule to the top of the list. My guess is that one of the rules above it is handling the messages before your new rule gets a look in.

That would be my guess. Either another rule is competing with it, so to speak, or your junk filter is.
