Hey guys (and gals) im looking to start over again. ive had my PB for 2 years now and i feel like its time to wipe the thing clean and go for a fresh start. appart from backing everything up and reinstalling my apps, are there any tips you can give me for a clean and need procedure? any potential problems? Also, Merlin has talked before of NOT using the admin account as the main user account. is there any truth to this? this would be good to know before i go in with the knife (or maybe its more akin to that red glowy thing in MIB; "PB, please look into this metalic pen thing...BLAM!") 4 Comments

The admin account thing can cause problems with Quicksilver. For instance, when I select items in Finder and then "Move to... Applications" I get errors if I am not an administrator of the box. I used to have the same problem with QS. I don't know what I did, but now I get the Authenticate dialog box with QS. » POSTED IN:
