Applescript for Internet Connect

Greetings, I'm trying to do something really simple and it's not working. I've followed all the steps in the book! What i want to do, is create an Applescript that will return info on the currently connected wireless network... Here is what I have so far: tell application "Internet Connect" get the signal level of AirPort configuration 1 end tell I'm connected via the airport with at least a 90% signal. But it returns 0. I've tried AirPort Power and it returns False What am i missing here? I'm running a MacBookPro with 10.4.8 Thanks! Chris 2 Comments

I haven't looked at it, but are you trying to read "signal strength" as an integer? If so, percentages are fractions/floats. So, 90% is actually .90, which if you are reading as an integer will always report as zero. » POSTED IN:
